The Butter Dish is one of the finer quality examples I have ever seen, being by the fine Silver Company of Wm A Rogers. The Butter Dish is a very handsome piece with great Lion Head on the top and Figural Legs. The Butter Dish is a great design with a Glass insert which is removable so ice water can be put below to keep your Butter from melting on even the hottest days. You could also put Hot Water if you wish to serve something warm. Overall the Butter Dish is in superb condition, showing very little signs of ever being used and certainly no wear to the plating. The Butter Dish is a nice practical size for use measuring approx 5-3/4" tall by 5-1/2" wide with the insert measuring 4" across.
