The Castor is of the much rare Square form and features nice Floral designs to the glass. The Frame is quite ornate with great Aesthetic Movement designs. The Pickle Caster frame shows it's age with the typical wear you would expect on a 125+ year old piece, but it could be re-plated to looks as good as new, as there is no physical damage, breaks or repairs. The tongs are also quite nice with Talon Claw ends and pretty flowers adorning the handles. The Jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs ! This beauty is a great size for display measuring approx 11-1/4" tall to the top of the Silver Plate frame and the jar measuring 6-1/2" tall by 3" across the square base. The Frame is marked on the bottom Toronto Silver Plate Company and would date to c1880's.
